Have an idea that could make Acalanes even better? Acalanes Parents Club wants to help bring it to life! Teachers, staff, students, and parents are invited to submit grant requests for creative programs, projects, experiences, and equipment that enrich the AHS student experience.
Past APC grants have helped fund everything from bike racks and lunchtime recreation equipment to peer tutoring programs, STEM field trips, leadership conferences, garden supplies, and more.
Applications are due Friday, Sept 18.

Thank You for a Special Evening!
It was wonderful to see so many of you at Back to School Night this past Thursday! We would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our teachers, staff, and administration for sharing their evening with us and making this event a huge success. We also want to give a special thanks to Susan Corkery and Maxine Fisher, our Hospitality Chairs, for providing refreshments and a warm welcome to our ACA families. We are so grateful for this incredible school community!

Thank You APC Volunteers!
APC welcomed AHS staff back to school with coffee, bagels, and homemade cinnamon rolls to help kick off the school year. A huge shout out to Heddy Botic and Sara Little-Darby, our Staff Appreciation Chairs, for providing such an incredible spread for our staff! There will be more staff appreciation events throughout the year and opportunities to help with food donations and baked goods. Your donations to APC help make these staff appreciation events possible. Thank you!!

Finals Fuel – Volunteers & Snacks
Finals are just around the corner…..and that means FINALS FUEL is back! During finals week, the APC provides snacks for the students during brunch period. We need your help to refuel and recharge our Dons. Here are three ways to help:
- Purchase snacks from the Amazon Wish list found here. Items will be sent from Amazon directly to a residence for transport to AHS, no need to deliver anything.
- Don’t want to purchase via Amazon? No problem! Sign up to purchase snacks yourself from the SignUpGenius here, and you deliver to a private residence in Lafayette.
- Volunteer to hand out snacks on campus (Wednesday-Friday). Sign up for shifts here.

Acalanes teachers and staff enjoyed a fabulous lunch hosted by APC last week!
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families who contributed salads, desserts, and beverages, and to our amazing Staff Appreciation Co-Chairs, Dominique Mickelson and Stacey Hastings, for organizing such an incredible meal for our teachers and staff. We have openings for the following roles.
Senior Rally: typically junior parents, help coordinate the Senior Rally in the park
Student Community Service Coordinator: organize community service program for students, including Helper Helper app
