Volunteering as a High School Parent

Just because high school is a time when students grow more independent, it doesn’t mean there aren’t ways for you to be involved at school. APC needs and welcomes volunteers as we support Acalanes’ students. You may not be in your student’s classroom like you were in elementary school, but we still have plenty of opportunities for you to connect.

Ways to Get Involved

Here are some example of opportunities to help:

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Support student and parent initiatives promoting a culture of inclusivity and belonging.
Finals Fuel: Hand out snacks to students during finals week.
Hospitality: Provide refreshments at special school events.
Food Donations: Donate food for student events.
Staff Appreciation: Help with events to celebrate our AHS amazing staff!
Dons Day: Work a shift at next year’s Dons Day.
Technology, Graphic Design and Social Media: Are you tech savvy or talented in the area of graphic design, websites, social media, etc? We’d love your help!
Student Events: Help with student recognition & awards events.
Back to School Night & Open House
Football Games: Join the snack shack crew and work a shift at a Varsity game.
