A Nobel Peace Prize winner, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Baptist minister and activist known for his leadership in the 1960’s civil rights movement. He was inspired by his Christian beliefs and by Gandhi to combat racial inequality through nonviolent resistance.
