Jazz Cafe Returns
This year’s final performances of the exceptional Acalanes Jazz Ensemble and Acalanes Jazz Combo will be at the Jazz Cafe at Stanley Middle School. Our Instrumental Dons are role models for the three Stanley jazz bands who will also perform.

Acalanes & Campo Jazz Ensembles Perform at Yoshi’s on Monday May 19, 8pm
Support the Acalanes & Campo Jazz Ensembles at this benefit concert at Yoshi’s in Oakland. The Acalanes Jazz Ensemble includes a 2025 California All-State Jazz Band student member and the Ensemble and Combo have won multiple group awards this year. You won’t want to miss this show! All proceeds from the performance benefit the jazz programs at the schools. Tickets available here.


Acapalooza 2025!
Get ready for Acapalooza – the Acalanes Chamber Music Collage Concert – which brings our talented student musicians together for a relaxed evening of music. Featured ensembles include Brassworks, Trio Con Fuoco, Acastix, and other popular bands performing works by Cole Porter, Bizet, Bach and more. Whether you’re a chamber music fan or just looking to enjoy a unique night out, come join us for an unforgettable performance!

Acalanes Performing Arts Boosters is very proud of the hard work and dedication of the over 80 students in the Cast, Crew, Pit Orchestra and Stagecraft class. They worked on the production for four months and their labors transported us to the fantastical and gorgeous world of Bikini Bottom. We hope you were able to catch one of last week’s dazzling performances!

Acalanes Symphonic Orchestra Goes for the Gold in Chicago!
Performing Arts Boosters congratulates the Acalanes Symphonic Orchestra for achieving a Gold award at the Chicago International Music Festival. The Symphonic Orchestra is composed of 50 musicians from the Wind Ensemble, String Orchestra, and Symphonic Ensemble classes. Students attended master classes and performed at the stunning Chicago Symphony Hall. They also went to the Chicago Opera to see La Boheme, and toured the city.

Please join us at the Acalanes Symphony Orchestra Chicago “Send-Off” Concert on Mar 28 at 5pm in the AHS PAC. The Symphony Orchestra will travel over spring break to perform in the 2025 Chicago International Music Festival! Admission is free.

Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble and Orchestra for their lovely performances at the Sonoma Wind Band and Orchestra Invitational!
 
Kudos also to the Acalanes String Quartet (Maor Ziskind, Lauren Anderson, Miela Hsu and Nathan Feng) which received a superior rating at the CMEA Solo and Ensemble festival at San Jose State University.

Announcing the Acalanes Performing Arts Boosters 2024-25 Senior Scholarship!
Seniors currently enrolled in an Acalanes performing arts class (Choral, Drama or Instrumental) are eligible to apply for this $1,000 scholarship. Additional requirements are:

• Must have been enrolled in an Acalanes performing arts class for two or more years
• Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Must have an intent to major or minor in a performing arts program (e.g., Theatre Tech, Drama, Musicology, Music Education, Performance, Composition, etc.) in a community college, 4-year college, university or performing arts school or conservatory.
