September Sweepstakes:  Thanks to three generous community members, you will automatically be entered for a chance to win amazing prizes when you donate to LPIE’s Annual Giving Campaign through Friday, Sept 23.
Prizes include:

• 2 tickets to see the Giants play their final home game of the season with access to the Cloud Club, as well as dinner and drinks
• 2 tickets to see the Jagged Little Pill musical at the Golden Gate Theater in San Francisco and

Save the date for LPIE’s annual “Texas Hold’em Tournament” on Friday, Dec 2 at 6pm (doors will open) and 7pm (cards will be dealt). Ticket sales for the event will open onThursday, Sept 8 at 9am (12 table limit) – click here for more information. The tournament is run by professional dealers and will also feature dinner and a hosted bar at a private residence.

A reminder that LPIE is the largest beneficiary of this event, receiving over $10,000, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the support of Lafayette Chamber of Commerce. Thank you to all who attended our Back to LPIE event at Metro. It was an amazing turnout! And a huge thank you to Metro Lafayette for hosting and providing complimentary beverages. We are truly grateful to have such wonderful partners that are so keenly vested in our community!
 
LPIE also had its first board meeting this week and it was our privilege to be able to honor our LPIE Business Partners who have already pledged more than $240,000 to support our Lafayette public schools. We approved our 2022-23 Budget and are pleased to announce a very successful start to our Annual Giving Campaign. LPIE is looking for volunteers to staff the ticket booth at the 2022 Lafayette Art and Wine Festival on Saturday Sep 17 and Sunday, Sep 18. It’s a fun experience and LPIE is the largest beneficiary, receiving over $10,000 from this wonderful event to benefit our schools and students. The Chamber counts on our volunteer support. Please consider signing up fora shift and enjoying the festival before or after!

Welcome Back to LPIE!

Summer may be over, but the fun is just beginning! Join your friends – and make some new ones – on the patio at Metro this Friday, Aug 12 from 6-7pm when LPIE will be hosting a free event for all Lafayette parents and the community. Let’s raise a glass to celebrate the 2022-23 school year! Hope to see you there!
 
LPIE’s mission is to support and enrich the education of every child in the Lafayette public schools. “Every child” is the key part of our message because your donations to LPIE are distributed across the schools on a per pupil basis – no matter what school your child attends, they receive the same high quality programs, access to technology, books, elective classes at Stanley, AP and elective classes at Acalanes, and classroom supplies as every other student.

Please join us for Project LPIE Awards Ceremony May 3, 3:30 pm. Project LPIE Winners will be announced and celebrated at the Acalanes Performing Arts Center. All are welcome in a public reception featuring the creative entries as we announce the winners of the 2022 Project LPIE Awards. This annual event showcases and acknowledges Acalanes High School students for their project-based learning. This year LPIE received 82 student project submissions in 13 categories that recognize students’ skills both within and outside the curriculum. We look forward to seeing you there!

Whether it was through the online auction or in person, your involvement in our cornerstone event helps us provide funding to enhance and enrich our children’s educational experiences.
