FINALS SCHEDULE: May 28 - 31
Parents, take note of the spring finals schedule. There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 27 for Memorial Day. The finals schedule begins on Tuesday, May 28.
A great way to help support our students during finals is to help out with Finals Fuel (see below). -
APC in Action
SERVICE AWARDS CELEBRATION - Wednesday, May 22
If your student has received a service award, please remind them to come to the front quad at lunchtime on Wednesday, May 22 to pick up their service award certificate and enjoy a celebratory treat!
Acalanes students volunteered a total of 15,971 community service hours this past year for over 425 different organizations!
We thank your students for making a difference to those individuals and organizations in need in our community and we hope they’ll continue their community service in the future.

FINALS FUEL - For Exam Week
Let’s re-fuel our students between final exams with healthy snacks! Thank you to everyone who has already donated or volunteered, but we are still in need of snacks, donations and volunteers for this much loved event!
You can help refuel and recharge our Dons in several ways:- Purchase snacks prior to finals week and deliver to a private residence near AHS
- Purchase snacks from the Amazon wish list and items will be sent directly to a residence for transport to AHS
- Donate money and we’ll shop for you: Venmo @Stephanie-Asadorian (any amount is welcome and appreciated)
- Volunteer to hand out snacks on campus Tuesday, May 28 - Friday, May 31

Acalanes Community Always (ACA)
The Acalanes Class of 2024 Car Rally is here - this Friday, May 24 at 5pm! Come out for a spirited Dons send off for our annual, community-wide celebration to cheer on our Acalanes seniors and their families. Join spectators along Mt. Diablo Blvd (from Oakwood to Golden Gate Way and back) and bring your signs, noisemakers and blue pompoms! It’s also a great night to stay out and dine in Lafayette!
Dons love Lafayette! There are so many ways to support downtown Lafayette businesses this spring and summer. Consider purchasing gifts and dining out at our local Lafayette favorites.

June celebrates PRIDE and there are several resources to dig into on the AUHSD DEIB website including PFLAG. We have a local chapter in our own community and if you are in need of support, allyship or just a sense of belonging you can find them here. Our school also has a QSA club and AUHSD just recognized June as LGBTQIA+ Pride month in our district.
As we approach the end of the year we want to remind parents that inclusivity and belonging begin at home, and we hope your summer will be full of fun times with family and friends. Our community has worked hard to highlight different cultures, religions and genders throughout the school year and APC is grateful for their efforts and those of AUHSD.

Our ‘24/25 planning is underway. Please share any thoughts or ideas you have with us here. This is a collaborative process; we encourage participation. It is important that a plethora of voices and ideas are heard. We are also looking for members of our community that would like to be more involved. ACALANES AND CAMPOLINDO JAZZ ENSEMBLES: Live at Yoshi’s!

he best of high school jazz with the Campolindo and Acalanes Jazz Ensembles at Yoshi’s Jazz Club and restaurant in Oakland on Tuesday, May 28. The doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 8pm. All proceeds from the performance benefit the music programs at Campolindo and Acalanes High Schools. General admission tickets are $25 each and can be purchased here. -

SENIORS:
Senior exit survey is mandatory: If your student has decided on their post high school plans, please have them log into Naviance and finish their Acalanes senior exit survey. It is the only way final transcripts will be sent to colleges.
JUNIORS:
We're excited to be partnering with College Essay Guy to offer AHS students a number of awesome college application resources and virtual workshops. Students can join any or all of these live online courses:- How to Write A Personal Statement Boot Camp (Jun 3, 5, 7)

To Register:

- Select the workshops your student would like to join.

This spring the AUHSD School Board voted to reduce the staffing in the Counseling Department at Acalanes from 4.0 full-time counselors to 3.6. Erika Vasquez will now only be in the office 3 days a week, so her caseload will be redistributed to the other counselors in August.
Summer School
Counselors are signing students up for summer school - it’s at Acalanes this year! If your student has a D or F in a required course, please send them to see their counselor to sign up! Please see HERE for more information.
