Thanks to everyone who contributed to the frosh ice cream social last week. It was a huge success and a great way to support the kids as they head into their last few weeks of school.

Community Service Awards on Wednesday May 21 at lunch in the front quad. If your student earned an Acalanes or Presidential Service Award, please remind them to head to the front quad at lunch to pick up their certificate and enjoy a celebratory treat.

Here’s a few reminders as we enter the final weeks of schools:

  • Final exams are Tuesday, May 27 – Friday, May 30. Note these are short days and students get out at 12:50pm.
  • Encourage your student to use peer tutoring, academies, and the Wellness Center during these final weeks for any needed support.
  • School photos for next year’s school ID will happen during PE in the coming weeks – keep an eye out for that date!
  • Return textbooks/library books by May 30 (your frosh should have received an email this week listing all books to be returned).
  • Empty lockers and return borrowed chromebooks by May 30.
  • August dates to add to your calendar: Don’s Day (Aug 11); first day of school (Aug 12); Back to School Night (Aug 28)

Senior Rally help needed on Thursday May 22. Please consider signing up to help with the set up, clean up, or photography for the Senior Rally in Lafayette Plaza on Thursday, May 22. And be sure to mention ACALANES at Sideboard for in-house or to-go meals that day and a portion of proceeds will go to the rising senior class!

Be on the lookout for our next parent social in late August/early September. It’ll be a fun, relaxed night out and a chance to get to know some other class of 2028 parents.

And if you haven’t yet, here’s one of your last chances to contribute this year to the Class of 2028 fund, which helps support class of 2028 student events throughout the year and helps to offset some of the costs of our senior year activities, which will be here before we know it!
