  • Wellness Center

    August 21, 2022

The AHS Wellness team would like to welcome everyone to a new school year! With this new year there have been some changes to the Wellness Center including a new coordinator, Patrick Turner, and new Wellness Center hours.

While new to AHS, Patrick/Mr.Turner is not new to the district. He’s been dedicated to supporting the success of students in the district for 5 years as a school counselor at Campolindo. Patrick is a great addition to our team and looks forward to continuing to provide support for students in his new role.

Last year, usage of the Wellness Center was extremely successful, which means we were also extremely busy. In hopes of better serving our students, new Wellness Center hours are listed here. By modifying our hours, we are able to collaborate more and increase our programming and planning, which allows us to be proactive in reaching more AHS students.

As always, if you know of any AHS students that may need additional mental health support here on campus, please submit a referral to the Wellness Center using this link.
The success of Wellness Centers would not be possible without the continued support of parents, families and community partners. Thanks for all that you do in prioritizing mental health for our students!

Thank you to all who attended our Back to LPIE event at Metro. It was an amazing turnout! And a huge thank you to Metro Lafayette for hosting and providing complimentary beverages. We are truly grateful to have such wonderful partners that are so keenly vested in our community!

LPIE also had its first board meeting this week and it was our privilege to be able to honor our LPIE Business Partners who have already pledged more than $240,000 to support our Lafayette public schools. We approved our 2022-23 Budget and are pleased to announce a very successful start to our Annual Giving Campaign. For those who are new to LPIE, please feel free to reach out to us to learn more about LPIE and the programs that we sponsor.

  • General Administration Announcements

    August 14, 2022

There are a couple changes for the food services program this school year. Students are still eligible to receive two free meals a day, but please note important changes outlined below.

    Fast Five for Food

    1. ALL students must have their ID card when picking up food in the cafeteria.  Quick Tip: Students can have a picture of their ID card on their phone!
    2. The cafeteria will have three choices for food options: breakfast, brunch and lunch.
    3. Students will choose from two of the three food options a day - breakfast, brunch or lunch. For example, a student can pick up breakfast and brunch, but will then have to pay for lunch.
    4. Students can purchase a third meal option or a la cart items by loading money on their ID cards through our Titan system.
    5. No cash accepted!
