Sophomore/Junior Parents Meeting
We hope you have marked your calendar for the Sophomore/Junior Parents Meeting on February 21 from 7 - 8:30pm in the Cafeteria. Joan Karr, who runs the Acalanes College and Career Center, and some of our counselors will present an overview on current College Admissions for parents of sophomores/juniors. There will be an opportunity for Q&A.
Transcripts
Most private colleges require that a transcript be submitted with the application as part of the college application process (showing grades through the end of the junior year). Many of those private colleges also request that students send Mid-Year Reports (showing grades through the first semester of senior year). Mid-year reports and accompanying transcripts (printed after sememstesr grades are posted) can be ordered now!
*Please order any transcripts through Naviance and bring a printout of the transcript status page as well as $3.00 per transcipt to Mrs. Finn in the counseling office.
California Public Colleges
UC and CSU campuses do not want a transcript at this time unless they specifically request one from your student. These institutions base their admissions decisions on the "self-reported" grade information in the application.
Parent Social - Postponed
Due to the low response and not meeting our caterer's minimum, we are postponing the Parent Social. The Spring Fling is now tentatively set for April 14. Stay tuned for more information as the date approaches.
